We use a medical grade diode laser hair removal machine, which works by emitting a specific wavelength of light that is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicles. The heat generated by the laser damages the follicles, inhibiting their ability to produce new hair. Over multiple sessions, this process leads to a significant reduction in hair growth. Diode lasers are known for their precision and effectiveness on a wide range of skin tones.

Diode laser hair removal works by emitting a concentrated beam of light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair follicles. This absorption of light energy generates heat, which damages the follicle and inhibits its ability to produce new hairThis process effectively targets and destroys unwanted hair while leaving the surrounding skin undamaged.

Pain levels can vary from person to person, but many individuals describe diode laser hair removal as tolerable. During the treatment, you may feel sensations such as a mild stinging or snapping feeling as the laser pulses target the hair follicles. Active skin cooling through the applicator ensures complete comfort even in the most sensitive areas.
-
The number of sessions needed for diode laser hair removal can vary depending on several factors, including your hair type, skin colour, and the area being treated. However, typically a series of 6 to 8 sessions spaced several weeks apart is recommended to achieve optimal results. This is because hair grows in cycles, and laser treatment is most effective when targeting hairs in the active growth phase (anagen phase). Multiple sessions ensure that all hair follicles are treated during their active growth phase, leading to significant and long-lasting reduction in hair growth.

It is generally not recommended to undergo diode laser hair removal while pregnant or breastfeeding. Although there is limited research on the effects of laser hair removal during pregnancy and lactation, it is advised to err on the side of caution. The safety of the procedure for both the mother and the baby has not been conclusively established, so it's best to postpone laser hair removal until after pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Individuals should be at least in their mid to late teens and out of puberty before considering laser hair removal, as hormonal changes during puberty can affect hair growth patterns. The minimum age for laser hair removal at Nadia Holdaway UK is 18yrs.
